Who is the Garden Wizard?

The Garden Wizard aka James Ranby, loves plants and gardening almost as much as he loves his dogs. He is one of those people all kids and animals love and, as it turns out, all plants too.

James loves nothing more than being in the garden. Whether it’s his garden or yours, his hard work, patience, curiosity, tenacity, kindness, as well as that magic touch, always produce the most astonishing results.

The Garden Wizard is actually a fully qualified Geography teacher but discovered his hidden talent and magical affinity to plants whilst working as a project manager on several corporate and landscaping projects in Cape Town and Hermanus. James managed a garden services company in Hermanus, and has built decks, and several greenhouses.

The common denominator of all garden services James offers as The Garden Wizard is dedicated, personal service. He doesn’t just fly in and out with a swarm of workers trying to get as much done in as short a space of time as possible. He takes time and takes care. He will be accompanied by one other magician and, when warranted, a few wizard apprentices.

There is no standing around watching workers work. That is sure to drive the wizard crazy! You’ll find James getting down and dirty as he weaves his magic spells and nurtures your garden to be the best it can be.
